KEPCO harnesses a diverse array of energy sources to produce electricity, including nuclear, coal, oil, liquefied natural gas (LNG), internal combustion, combined-cycle, and integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) technologies, alongside renewables such as hydroelectric, wind, solar, fuel cell, and biogas, among others. By the close of 2021, specifically December 31st, KEPCO's extensive generation infrastructure comprised 763 units, encompassing nuclear, thermal, hydroelectric, and internal combustion facilities, boasting a combined installed capacity of 82,459 megawatts. The company's transmission network, as of the same date, spanned 34,923 circuit kilometers of lines, featuring both 765 kilovolt and other specifications, including high-voltage direct current (HVDC) lines.
