Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) operates as a comprehensive financial institution, delivering a broad spectrum of banking solutions to both corporate clients and individual customers. Its operations are structured into three main divisions: Corporate Banking, Personal Banking, and Treasury Activities. The bank provides a diverse array of deposit products, including instant-access (demand) and short-notice (personal call) accounts, various foreign currency deposits (time, call, demand), flexible time or demand options, certificates of deposit, standard savings accounts, and specially arranged (agreed-term, negotiated) deposit schemes. Its lending portfolio is equally extensive, encompassing mortgages, consumer credit, business loans, financing for fixed assets, working capital facilities, real estate development funding, and syndicated loans. Furthermore, ABC facilitates trade finance, issues guarantees and commitments, and provides loans secured by export rebate accounts. Beyond core banking, ABC delivers a suite of ancillary financial services. These include credit and debit card issuance, payment processing and settlement solutions, bespoke private banking, comprehensive cash management, investment banking expertise, asset custody, financial market operations, and services for other financial institutions. It also offers trading services, wealth management advice, personal fund aggregation, and automated transfer capabilities. The institution further specializes in banking products and services tailored for the agricultural sector, catering to both individuals and businesses. It offers multiple digital and traditional access channels, such as online, telephone, mobile, self-service terminals, television, and SMS banking. Other specialized offerings include financial leasing, investment fund management, asset safeguarding (custody), debt-to-equity conversion programs, and a range of insurance products including life, health, accident coverage, and reinsurance. By the close of 2021 (December 31st), ABC boasted an extensive physical presence. Domestically, its network comprised 22,807 branches, which included three specialized entities, four training centers, 37 primary branches (tier-1), 402 secondary branches (tier-2), 3,348 primary sub-branches, 18,961 fundamental branch outlets, and 50 other operational facilities. Internationally, the bank maintained 13 branches strategically located in major financial hubs such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul, New York, Dubai International Financial Centre, Tokyo, Frankfurt, Sydney, Luxembourg, Dubai, London, Macao, and Hanoi. Additionally, it operated four representative offices abroad, situated in Vancouver, Taipei, Sao Paulo, and Dushanbe. Established in 1951, Agricultural Bank of China Limited has its headquarters in Beijing, People's Republic of China.
