The company's motion control offerings include a comprehensive array of components such as various precision ball screws (ground, custom, and JIS standard), ball screw actuators, linear motion guides, support units, specialized greases, feed screws, and related support tools. In its tooling segment, Kuroda manufactures high-performance surface grinding machines, laminated precision press tools specifically for motor cores, and other meticulously crafted metal press and motor core products. Its extensive measurement systems portfolio features a wide array of gauges—including parallel thread, taper thread/taper pipe thread, oil country, master/plain, and taper types—as well as gauge blocks, test bars, and general measuring instruments. The company also develops specialized solutions like wafer flatness measuring systems, wafer flatness/SORI measuring systems, and sophisticated surface and flatness measuring systems, including those designed for large discs. Further expanding its industrial reach, Kuroda provides hydraulic tools, minimal quantity lubrication (MQL) systems, clamping force testers, and machine gauges. Founded in 1925, the company was initially known as Kuroda Gauge Manufacturing Co., Ltd., before rebranding to Kuroda Precision Industries Ltd. in June 1965. Its headquarters are situated in Kawasaki, Japan.
