Beyond retail, Akbank serves corporate and commercial clients of all sizes – from small enterprises to large corporations. Its extensive offerings for these segments include both Turkish Lira and foreign currency working capital loans, financing for investments, and support for foreign trade activities. To manage financial risks, the bank provides derivative instruments for hedging against foreign currency and interest rate fluctuations. Other key services comprise letters of credit, foreign currency exchange, corporate finance advisory, and comprehensive deposit and cash management solutions. This includes project finance loans and tailored cash management services designed to optimize corporate working capital, covering collection and payment processes, as well as liquidity and information management. The Treasury division actively participates in financial markets, undertaking Turkish Lira and foreign currency spot and forward transactions. Its scope extends to trading in treasury and government bonds, Eurobonds, and private sector bonds, alongside various derivative trading operations. This segment is also responsible for the marketing and strategic pricing of its treasury product suite. Complementing its core banking functions, Akbank additionally offers financial leasing, stock market brokerage, and professional portfolio management. The institution is also involved in providing payment services and the issuance of electronic money. As of December 31, 2021, the bank maintained an extensive network of 710 branches.
