About
Established in 1899 and based in Bega, Australia, Bega Cheese Limited is a comprehensive food company engaged in sourcing, processing, manufacturing, and distributing a wide array of dairy and other food products. Its operations are divided into two primary segments: Branded and Bulk. The Branded division concentrates on developing and producing value-added consumer goods for both its proprietary labels and external brands. This includes a diverse range of cheese products, such as natural, processed, and kids' snacking varieties; butter and cream cheese sold under the Farmer's Table brand; condiments like dips, mayonnaise, and dressings marketed as ZoOSh; and various spreads including Simply Nuts, B honey, Bega peanut butter, and VEGEMITE. The Bulk segment, conversely, focuses on the production of large-scale dairy ingredients, as well as specialized nutritional and bio-nutrient components. Beyond these core activities, Bega Cheese is also actively involved in the development and supply of bio-nutrient ingredients specifically for the health and wellness markets. The company extends its services through substantial contract packaging operations. It provides packaging for natural and processed cheddar cheese on behalf of other corporations, handles private label and supermarket own-brand products, supplies raw materials for Quick Service Restaurants, and offers packaging solutions for other dairy companies to sell under their brand names. Bega Cheese Limited maintains a significant international presence, exporting its products to around 40 countries across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, North Asia, Central and South America, and the Pacific Islands.
