It operates through the following segments: Infrastructure Projects, Energy Projects, Hi-Tech Manufacturing, and Others. The Infrastructure Projects segment refers to the engineering and construction of building and factories, transportation infrastructure, heavy civil infrastructure, power transmission and distribution, renewables, water and effluent treatment, and minerals and metals. The Energy Projects segment focuses on hydrocarbon onshore and offshore businesses. The Hi-Tech Manufacturing segment includes the design, manufacture and construct, supply, and revamp or retrofit of custom designed, engineered critical equipment, and systems to the process of plant and nuclear energy. The Others segment relates to realty, smart infrastructure and communication projects, and construction equipment and industrial product design development. The company was founded by Henning Holck-Larsen and Soren Kristian Toubro in 1938 and is headquartered in Mumbai, India.
