Its operations extend to countries including Turkey, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Macedonia, Latvia, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Spain. The company organizes its diverse activities into several main segments: Terminal Operations, Catering Operations, Duty Free Operations, Ground Handling and Bus Operations, and an 'Other' segment. The Terminal Operations division is responsible for managing terminal buildings, car parks, and general aviation terminals. This segment also oversees ground handling services and the functioning of parking aprons and taxiways. Catering Operations focuses on providing food and beverage services for both passengers and airport personnel within the terminals. The Duty Free Operations segment is dedicated to the sale of tax-free merchandise to international travelers arriving and departing. Ground Handling and Bus Operations offers a full spectrum of ground support services for domestic and international flights, encompassing traffic management, ramp assistance, flight operations, cargo handling, and various other essential services, alongside managing bus transport. The 'Other' segment includes a range of supplementary services such as lounge access, IT support, security training, airline taxi services, and the provision of software and system solutions. Originally founded in 1997 as Tepe Akfen Vie Yatirim Yapim ve Isletme A.S., the company was rebranded as TAV Havalimanlari Holding A.S. in August 2006. TAV is headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey.
