As of June 30, 2021, its extensive land bank measured 57.9 million square feet of gross floor area in Hong Kong and a significant 75.3 million square feet across mainland China. Beyond its core property activities, the company extends its expertise to include comprehensive property management and a suite of construction-related services, such as landscaping, electrical and fire prevention system installation, and the leasing of construction plant and machinery. It further underwrites a diverse range of insurance products for both individual and business clients, encompassing policies for household comprehensive, fire, employees' compensation, travel, personal accident, motor vehicles, contractors' all risks, third-party liability, and property all risks. The group also operates in telecommunications, providing voice, multimedia, and mobile broadband services, alongside data center solutions that include infrastructure, facility management, server co-location, and various value-added offerings. Its infrastructure and logistics division is extensive, encompassing the management of car parks, tunnels, bridges, toll roads, and an expressway. It provides transport facilities for both private and public sectors, including public bus services, alongside airport freight forwarding and aviation support. Additionally, the company is active in port logistics, offering container handling, storage, freight station services, and other port-related operations. The conglomerate also manages department stores and supermarkets, provides mortgage and other loan financing facilities, and offers professional services such as asset and project management, architectural and engineering, cleaning, and secretarial support. Club and road management activities complete its broad operational scope. Incorporated in 1972, the company was initially known as Sun Hung Kai (Holdings) Limited, adopting its present name, Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited, in March 1973.
