It also manufactures a variety of medical and industrial components, such as element wires, stranded conductors, coils, tubes, and terminal processing products, specializing in the development and sale of ultra-fine stainless steel wire ropes and associated processed items. Founded in 1976 as Asahi Mini Rope Sales Co., Ltd., the company was renamed Asahi Intecc Co., Ltd. in July 1988 and is headquartered in Aichi, Japan.
