BiomX Inc., a clinical-stage microbiome company, develops products using natural and engineered phage technologies designed to target and kill specific harmful bacteria. The company's pipeline products also include BX005, a topical phage cocktail, which is in Phase 1/2 clinical study that targets Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), a bacteria associated with the manifestation of the disease; and BX003, an orally administered phage cocktail, which is in Phase 1b/2a that targets a bacterial target present in the gut of IBD and PSC patients. In addition, the company engages in the provision of colorectal cancer program that utilizes engineered phage with various payloads, which are administered intravenously to target Fusobacterium nucleatum bacteria residing within the tumor microenvironment.
