The videos "masquerade" as user-generated fan content, but in reality they are elaborate advertising campaigns paid for by sponsors.

As a public company, Vimeo faced increasing pressure to balance growth initiatives with short-term financial expectations, Noble Capital Markets <a href="https://www.channelchek.com/news-channel/vimeo-to-go-private-in-1-38-billion-deal-with-bending-spoons">argues</a>.&nbsp;

Streaming service Netflix plans to open two theme parks - in Philadelphia and Texas - by the end of the year, and another in Las Vegas in 2027. The company is investing heavily in gaming and sports streaming and calls the TV show market "an obvious growth point."
