Major U.S. stock indexes opened higher on Monday as the release of Anthropic’s prospectus revived enthusiasm for the AI trade, CNBC reports. The S&P 500 gained 0.46%, while the Nasdaq Composite and Dow Jones Industrial Average each added 0.30%.

AI stocks were buoyant: Nvidia rose 2.0%, Micron climbed 2.5%, and Broadcom advanced 1.5%. Advanced Micro Devices was up 1.1%. The broader semiconductor sector also returned to gains, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rising more than 1%.

Investors are betting that Anthropic’s IPO will breathe new life into the flagging tech sector, CNBC notes. The company plans to list on the Nasdaq in November under the ticker symbol ANT. In its prospectus, it reported revenue of $16.29 billion for the six months ended in June, up 1,304% year over year from $1.16 billion.
