Founded in Kyoto, Japan, in 2004, GS Yuasa Corporation is a global company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of batteries, power supply systems, and lighting equipment. Its extensive market reach spans Japan, the broader Asian continent, North America, Europe, and other international regions. The company's operations are segmented into Automotive Batteries for both the Japanese and overseas markets, Industrial Batteries and Power Supplies, Automotive Lithium-ion Batteries, and a division for Specialized Batteries and Other offerings. GS Yuasa provides a comprehensive array of products, including lead-acid and lithium-ion automotive batteries designed for hybrid electric, plug-in hybrid electric, electric, conventional, and idling stop vehicles. It also supplies lead-acid batteries for motorcycles and a variety of industrial applications. Furthermore, the company develops highly specialized lead-acid, lithium-ion, and other battery technologies for critical uses in submarines, aircraft, satellites, manned research submersibles, and rockets. Beyond its battery offerings, GS Yuasa supplies UV irradiation systems for processes like exposure, adhesion, painting, and coating, as well as membrane products and filters employed in water purification and the recovery of valuable substances from water.
