Leopalace21 Corporation, based in Tokyo, Japan, is a multifaceted enterprise specializing in the development, rental, and sale of residential accommodations, including apartments, condominiums, and houses, throughout Japan. Founded in 1973, its business activities are structured into three primary divisions: Leasing, Elderly Care, and Other Businesses. The Leasing Business division oversees the management and letting of apartment complexes and various other properties. Its services extend to include property repair work, broadband internet provision, rent guarantee schemes, corporate housing solutions, solar energy generation, and small-amount short-term insurance products. This segment is also active in real estate brokerage and the operation of serviced apartments and offices. Through its Elderly Care Business, the company operates a network of senior care facilities under the "Azumi En" brand. This segment delivers a comprehensive suite of elder care provisions, such as group homes, day care programs, short-term stays, residential care homes with nursing services, home visits, and home care support. The Other Businesses segment encompasses the management of resort properties located in Guam, in addition to its financing activities and other miscellaneous ventures. The company, formerly known as MDI Corporation, adopted its current name, Leopalace21 Corporation, in July 2000.
