Its operations are strategically divided into three core segments: Sea Based Technology (SBT), Digital, and Land Based Technology. The Sea Based Technology (SBT) segment provides essential marine farming infrastructure. This includes robust plastic and steel cages, feed barges, advanced feeding and monitoring solutions (like sensor/camera systems, biomass estimation, and underwater lights), as well as net cleaning and mooring systems. These products are known under the Polarcirkel, Wavemaster, and Akvasmart hardware brands. SBT also extends its reach by supplying polyethylene work boats and pipes to both the aquaculture sector and other industries. The Digital segment delivers advanced software solutions aimed at optimizing fish farming and fishing operations. Its Fishtalk brand encompasses production control, planning, traceability, and ERP software. Furthermore, this segment manages AKVAconnect, an integrated process control platform capable of connecting and managing various fish farm installations, from individual sites to expansive interconnected networks. The Land Based Technology segment specializes in designing and deploying sophisticated recirculation aquaculture systems (RAS) for onshore fish farming. It also offers critical solutions to maintain optimal water quality across both freshwater and saltwater environments. With a significant international footprint, AKVA group ASA conducts operations in countries such as Norway, Chile, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Canada, among others. Established in 1982, the company is headquartered in Klepp Stasjon, Norway, and functions as a subsidiary of Egersund Group AS.
