About

Tourism Holdings Limited (THL), alongside its various subsidiaries, operates as a comprehensive tourism enterprise across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. Its business is strategically divided into distinct segments: New Zealand Rentals, Action Manufacturing, Tourism Group, Australia Rentals, and United States Rentals. A core aspect of THL's activity involves the design, manufacturing, and retail of recreational vehicles (RVs), such as motorhomes, campervans, caravans, and their accompanying accessories. The company also manages a substantial RV rental fleet, offering vehicles under well-known brands including Maui, Britz, Mighty, Road Bear RV, Just Go, and El Monte RV. Beyond its prominent RV operations, THL diversifies its tourism portfolio through several unique ventures. These include the "Kiwi Experience" hop-on/hop-off guided bus tours, the management of the famous Waitomo Glowworm, Ruakuri, and Aranui caves, and adventurous water rafting expeditions through the subterranean rivers of the Ruakuri cave system. Additionally, THL oversees the Waitomo Homestead restaurant. Established in 1984, the company was initially known as The Helicopter Line before adopting its current name, Tourism Holdings Limited, in 1996. Its global operations are headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand. A dedicated subsidiary, Tourism Holdings Rentals Limited, formed in 2021 and also based in Auckland, specifically caters to the Australian RV rental market, providing motorhomes, campervans, and 4WD campers under the Maui, Britz, and Mighty Campers brands.
