Founded in 1998, and formerly known as Deutsche Annington Immobilien SE until its rebranding in August 2015, the company manages its business through five core segments: Rental, Value-Add, Recurring Sales, Development, and Deutsche Wohnen. Vonovia delivers a full spectrum of property-related services, including apartment rentals and general property management. Its value-added offerings encompass maintenance and modernization work, provision of craftsmen, organization of residential environments, condominium administration, cable television, utility metering, energy supply, and insurance services. The company is also involved in the sale of individual residential units, such as condominiums and single-family homes, and undertakes new construction and development projects. As of December 31, 2021, its substantial holdings included 565,334 residential properties, 168,015 garages and parking spots, and 9,289 commercial units. Additionally, Vonovia oversaw the management of 71,173 residential units for third-party owners in Germany, Austria, and Sweden.
