The company's business activities are structured into two main divisions: Energy Management and Industrial Automation. The Energy Management segment offers a comprehensive suite of products and services aimed at optimizing electrical distribution, power quality, and building performance. This encompasses essential electrical infrastructure like busway and cable support systems, circuit breakers, switches, contactors, protection relays, and various electrical protection and control devices. The company provides sophisticated energy management software, transfer switches, surge protection, power conditioning, power monitoring and control products, and solutions for power quality and power factor correction. This segment also supplies switchboards and enclosures. Furthermore, it addresses building technologies such as access control, building management systems, fire detection, sensors, room units, valve and valve actuators, and variable and frequency speed drives. For utility grids, offerings include feeder automation, grid automation, SCADA software, medium voltage switchgear, transformers, outdoor equipment, substation automation, and associated components. Critical power and data center solutions are also a key focus, featuring critical power and cooling services, data center software, IT power distribution products, prefabricated data center modules, racks, accessories, and security/environmental monitoring systems. For residential and small commercial applications, it provides home automation and security, installation materials, light switches, electrical sockets, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units. The Industrial Automation segment concentrates on an extensive range of technologies for industrial control and automation. Its portfolio includes human-machine interfaces (HMIs), industrial communication solutions, measurement and instrumentation devices, motion control and robotics, signaling units, programmable logic and automation controllers, power supply and protection equipment, process control and safety systems, RFID systems, signaling devices, and other industrial automation and control products. This segment also features solar and energy storage solutions. Schneider Electric S.E. was founded in 1836 and maintains its head office in Rueil-Malmaison, France.
