Prominent tech bull Dan Ives, who spent eight years at Wedbush Securities, has named his top tech picks for 2027: Nvidia, Microsoft, Palantir, Apple, and CrowdStrike. He lists Tesla as his preferred disruptive tech play.

“In our view, investors underestimating the scale and scope of this $4 trillion dollar spending wave next few years,” wrote Ives, now a partner and senior managing director at merchant bank Yorkville Ives.

Valuations for Ives' picks

Yorkville Ives on Wednesday initiated coverage on all the stocks named by Ives with “outperform” ratings, Investing.com reports.

  • Nvidia received a target price of $300 per share, according to CNBC. That implies 26% upside from the chipmaker’s last close. Yorkville Ives said it likes Nvidia’s competitive advantage.

  • Microsoft received a target price of $615 per share, implying 16% upside.

  • Palantir could gain 30% over the next 12 months, based on Yorkville Ives' valuation, which has a target price of $250 per share.

  • Apple received a Yorkville Ives target price of $400 per share, implying 20% upside. The house said Apple is entering a “new phase of its ecosystem.”

  • Finally, Yorkville Ives expects CrowdStrike to gain around a quarter over the next year, setting a target price of $335 per share.

Ives’ call coincided with a renewed rally by the Magnificent Seven. The stocks helped push the S&P 500 on Tuesday to its first record high since August 13.

About Ives

Ives is one of the best-known and most bullish tech analysts, MarketWatch notes. In 2023, he crowned Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang the “Godfather of AI,” and two years later called Palantir CEO Alex Karp the “Messi of AI.” The companies’ stocks have since delivered exponential gains of 443% and 25%, respectively.

Wall Street's chief techno-optimist Dan Ives named two key AI stocks for 2026

Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike has been the best performer this year among the five stocks recommended by Ives for 2027, soaring 138% amid concerns about overly powerful AI models.

The performance of the other stocks reflects a mixed and challenging year for the tech sector and the AI trade: Apple shares are up 22% this year, Microsoft 9%, Palantir 8%, and Nvidia 28%, while Tesla is off 15%.

Ives spent eight years at Wedbush before leaving in 2026 to found Yorkville Ives.
