Microsoft's Azure cloud platform<a href="https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/microsoft-azure-delivers-the-first-large-scale-cluster-with-nvidia-gb300-nvl72-for-openai-workloads/"> has launched the</a> first major cluster based on Nvidia GB300 systems, including more than 4,600 Blackwell Ultra GPUs, the company's most advanced AI chips. The new cluster provides 37 terabytes of fast memory and high performance, forming the unified computing environment needed to run reasoning models, agent systems and multimodal generative AI applications. Such systems will reduce the training time of AI models from months to weeks, Microsoft said.
